Hi there! I’m Katie Etchey, a CATCH Certified Dog Trainer and the proud owner of Sit Happens Dog Training. I created this business with a simple mission: to make dog training approachable, positive, and truly effective for everyday dog owners.

With more than six years of hands-on dog handling experience and over three years as a professional trainer, I understand how overwhelming dog training can feel. My approach focuses on helping dogs and humans build communication and confidence through force-free, reward-based methods that work in real life.
